Love the analogy about the coach and the player on the field as compared to the outside investor and entrepreneur. Thank you!

Good storytelling and nice analogy to investing. Consider using a larger percentage loss in your example to make your point more apparent, e.g. when you lose 50% (such as the post Internet euphoria 2001-2 correction), you need 100% to get back to break-even.

I thought of this piece last night in the 49ers come from behind victory against Seattle last night. Nice win one from a very low probability TD pass near the end. However, in the moment, nobody cared about probability.
